Taos Ski Valley Ranked in Skiing Magazine's Top Ten
As though skiers were not already having face-shot dreams, this years SKIING Magazines rankings were just released and once again Taos Ski Valley is in the Top 10. Taos Ski Valley is number 10 in an impressive list of North American ski resorts and, not a shock to any Taos skier, its steeps are ranked eighth overall.
The SKIING article says this about Taos Ski Valley: "In an age of master-planned pedestrian base villages and multi-megaresorts, unpretentious Taos, thankfully, delivers no-frill, top-of-the-line goods. It is a true skiers' mountain. Marketing Manager Adriana Blake says "Being described as a true skiers' mountain means we are accomplishing what we set out to do. Our aim is to give skiers a haven, and I think this ranking proves we are doing that."
The number eight ranking for steeps is no surprise to anyone who has ever skied at Taos Ski Valley. As the ski season nears, just reading about the steeps off Taos' famous Highline and West Basin ridges is enough to make the mouths of Taos loyalists water.
With the 2001-2002 season beginning on November 22nd, skiers inspired to come to Taos Ski Valley by the SKIING article should call Taos Ski Valley at (505) 776-2291 before December 1st to reserve their $37 multi-day tickets. This is a great time to take advantage of some amazing skiing at a great price. So come enjoy this Top Ten resort and "you'll have a ski experience worth every mile it took to get here."
