TAOS RECEIVES RECORD SNOWFALL
Taos Ski Valley, NM – Ninety Six inches of snow fell in the month of February at Taos Ski Valley surpassing the previous record of eighty six inches in 1996/97. The snowfall from the most recent storm has accumulated to thirty-eight inches and is expected to continue through Sunday. The snowfall accumulation in the last two weeks has measured to over five feet.
“These are some of the best ski conditions I have seen in the thirty years I have been here” said Chris Stagg, Vice President of Marketing. Snow depths on the mountain are reading from ninety eight to one hundred eighteen inches.
More snow is expected next week with no end in sight from the El Nino effect.
