Scenic Lift Rides open for the Summer.

The Village of Taos Ski Valley kicked off its summer season with the opening of the scenic chairlift on Thursday, June 23, 2005. Lift 1, which rises from the base area 1,200 feet up the face of Al�s Run and offers an amazing view of the surrounding valley, will run Thursday through Monday till September 5th. The lift runs from 10am to 4:30pm (weather permitting). The ride is $7 for adults and $5 for children. It is possible to ride the lift up and then hike back down the mountain, but most find that the ride down is both the most scenic and exciting part of the trip which takes about 40 minutes round trip. There are all sorts of great activities happening in the Village of Taos Ski Valley this summer.
