The Village of TSV OPEN and Offering Activities for the Family

Are you looking to escape the heat and do something fun with your family this summer? The Village of Taos Ski Valley invites you to come cool off and enjoy some great family activities.

Summer Chairlift Rides Taos Ski Valley's easiest and most relaxing way to escape the heat and enjoy the mountain scenery. Take in the spectacular views, blue skies and clear mountain air while riding the chairlift. At the top, experience unobstructed views of alpine peaks and abundant wildflowers. Open Thursday through Monday from 10-4:30. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids and can be purchased at Taos Ski and Boot, Co.

New this summer the very exciting Euro-Bungee! How high can you go? The bouncing, flying, flipping and dropping excitement of this new activity will have you short of breath (if you werent already from our breathtaking scenery.) Whether you are 6 or 60 you will get a thrill out of Euro-Bungee. The Euro Bungee is a multi-station super trampoline system that enables the participant to jump over two stories high, accomplishing gravity-defying maneuvers. Multiple bungee cords are attached to a harness (in which the jumper is secured) which super boost the traditional trampoline experience, giving a gravity-defying activity that has all the adrenaline of bungee jumping. Same hours as the summer lift, $8 per person session.

Golf at 9000 feet? Its Disk Golf - test your skill, keep the score, enjoy the views and spend a day in the mountains. Located around the base area and on Strawberry Hill this is a great way for the whole family to get together and try to outdo each other. Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee. A golf disc is thrown from a tee area to a an elevated metal basket target which is the "hole," As a player progresses down the fairway, he or she must make each consecutive shot from the spot where the previous throw has landed. The trees, shrubs, and terrain changes located in and around the fairways provide challenging obstacles for the golfer. Finally, the "putt" lands in the basket and the hole is completed. Disc golf shares the same joys and frustrations of traditional golf, whether it's sinking a long putt or hitting a tree halfway down the fairway. Play is FREE and Rental discs are available at Taos Ski and Boot at the base of Lift #1. Disk Golf is open daily from June 22nd until Oct 1st.

Summer Music in the Mountains Series Enjoy a variety of live musical performances Saturday afternoons and evenings at the base area from July through September. From authentic, small town Barn Dances to Hip Hop and Reggae performances, Taos Ski Valley offers something different every weekend. Lodging specials are available at local hotels and restaurants will be open with food and drink specials. Check our schedule of events for dates and times or contact the Taos Ski Valley Chamber of Commerce at 1-800-517-9816 x 1513 or visitor@newmex.com.

Horseback Riding & Llama Trekking - Local guides can take you to some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. Rides can include meals around a campfire, camping in the wilderness, or a day trip to a remote location. These trips will reconnect you and your entire family with nature and remind you that the Rocky Mountains are a special place.
